Ecuador Day One by Abbie Holcombe

Today we set off for Ecuador! Arriving at the airport is when it hit me: we were really doing this.

Quito!

Quito!

Now we are here in Quito, and from the little bit of the city I have seen, I can already tell it is the most beautiful and interesting place I have ever been.

I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store for us. While I’m here, my goal, and the rest of the team’s, is to spread the amazing news about God’s unending love for us all. Showing these people how much they are adored and loved by God, I think, is the greatest thing we will do during our time in Ecuador. I can’t wait to meet all of the people the Lord has strategically placed along our trip. My grandma offered me an interesting perspective before I left. I want to share it because I think it is something our team will look forward to. She told me to leave Ecuador hopefully awaiting the time we will be reunited in Heaven with the Ecuadorean people we have met during this journey. I know this team will be able to touch so many people’s lives. And I ask you at home to keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

Yay, I’m so thankful you’re there loving people right now. Love that perspective your grandma has, too 🙂
